It’s over. Officially.

Posted: 6th November 2011 by Randy in Hard Ride Tour

One last ride to town today on the bike, and then it was retired to it’s winter resting spot. I’m glad to have gotten to ride in November a couple of years in a row, as it seems to make that long winter wait just a bit shorter. We still might get a day or two with nice enough weather to ride, but as deer hunting season starts tomorrow I will be gone to the camp and by the time the two weeks is up, we will be into colder weather and occasional snowfalls. So, I’ve put the bike away and the Hard Ride Summer Tour 2011 is officially, and sadly, over.
Derrick and I have only discussed two definite trips next year and they are the Popa Joe Ride for Cancer in North Bay, and Sturgis. Any other trips will be spontaneous and free from the task of recording and notarizing for the blog. It will just be riding and smiling.
For now it’s a long, cold 5 months without my knees in the breeze.
(Post script: Derrick and I actually got out for a bit of a ride on November 25th and vowed to try to find days during the winter to sneak in a short one. Derrick even showed up at my place on his bike Christmas Eve, in minus 10 degree weather to put a ride on December’s page)
